This is a very simple guide. This will tell you how to stay alive while fighting certain harder npc's.
When fighting..obviously the best way to stay alive is eating, but some npcs hit very high and you won't be able to heal fast enough and kill them at once.
Dragons:
This includes green dragons, KBD, mithril dragon, and anyother kind of dragon.
Dragons mainly use dragon breath, which is a strong type of attack. There is 3 known ways to protect yourself from this attack. One is with the use of the Protect from Magic prayer This doesn't completely null out the effect of dragon breath, but it will drasticly reduce dammage. Another ways is weilding an Anti-Dragon Shield. This is one of the best ways for it allows more inventory room for food. The best way is with the use of a Dragon Fire Shield. Ironicly the only thing that drops these is the Mithril Dragon. This not only frees inventory space but it also has the posiblity of hitting twise with its special effect.
GodWars:
It's best to only take 2 or 3 prayer potions into Godwars to save space for food. Also this will require more than one person to beat. There is 2 npc's in godwars that you need protection from. The first you will encounter is the Saradomin Wizards. These don't hit too high but it will use up food. There is no turning back from godwars, unless you want to restart. After killing the 20 saradomin wizard you are alloud passage to General Graardor. This is one of the strongest bosses in Last-Scape. He use a combo of mage and melee. The best way to protect yourself is to use Protect from Melee. Be carefull with eating because he uses mage to heal himself as you heal. The rewards for defeating him are great.
Dagganoths:
There is currently 4 types of dagganoths in Last-Scape. Three of these are the Dagganoth Kings. Dagganoth Rex, Dagganoth Prime, Dagganoth Supream, and the regular dagganoths. It is best to use Protect from Melee when fighting the small dagganoths. Dagganoth Rex uses melee so use Protect from Melee. Dagganoth Supream uses range, use Protect from Range. Dagganoth Prime mages, use Protect from Magic. There is rare-rareish drops awaiting you.
Assualt:
Assualt is one of the more easy mini-games. All it requires is 43 pray and time. All of the npc's use melee so be sure to have prayer potions and use Protect from Melee.
Barrows:
Barrows is another mini-game. There is 6 barrows brothers all with special abilities and attack styles. Dharok, Torag, Guthan, and Verac all use melee. You can only use Protect from Melee successfuly when fighting Dharok, Torag, and Guthan. Verac's effect is that he hits through your prayers so it's useless to try and protect. Bring Plenty of food when fighting verac, for he hits into the 20's. Ahrim mage's so be sure to turn on Protect from Magic. Lastly Karil, he uses range, be sure to turn on your Protect from Range spell.
Fight Caves:
Probaly the hardest mini-game on Last-Scape, the Fight Cave chanlenges you skill to the enth degree. There is a number of Npc the range from anoying pest to...ouch. The 4 that you need to wory about the most are Tok-Xil, Yt-MejKot, Ket-Zek, and TzTok-Jad. Tok-Xil is rather easy but with Protect from Range can take you down quikish. Yt-Mejkot is a meleer, he uses nothing but melee. Be sure to use Protect from Melee. Ket-Zek is a maging lizard thing. If you don't use Protect from Maagic, you're sure to die. Lastly TxTok-Jad, in my opinion one of the strongest monsters on Last-Scape. Known to hit 99. You need to know the warning signs.
» Range: He will raise his feet up, and then slam then down right away. When his feet rises, and then slam it down, Quickly, turn on Protect from Range.
» Mage: He will tilt his head down facing the floor as a large asteroid like object forms, when he lunges forward the object will head towards you. Quickly, turn on Protect from Magic.
» Melee: He will attack using melee if you are standing beside him.
Unlike RuneScape there is still the ability to "trap" Jad. Although he still will atack with range and mage, he won't attack with melee. Sadly the only way to do this is ranging or magic. Though melee is the highest hitting skill, you need not too worry. All you need to do is watch for the warning signs and switch prayers.
Here is a pic i found of where to "hide":
Thus come the most anoying pest in this mini-game.
Healers: Once you have managed to get the TzTok-Jad to half health, four healers will spawn in attempt to heal him back to full hit points. You need to attack all four healers right away so they focus on you and not the TzTok-Jad. If the healers are successful in healing the TzTok-Jad all the way then you're at risk of losing, as they'll all turn on you. Once you have killed the healers they will not appear again, unless they completely healed him.
